when it comes to extracting oil from an olive there are steps to the Process. When looking at the First two steps in extracting oil from an olive it is so parallel to how God deals with the life of a Believer. The cleaning of the olives is the first step of the process. It is stated that water should be used in the cleansing process. Just like the olive is to be cleaned with water, one of the ways God wash and sanctify the believer is by washing us with the water of the Word, according to Ephesians 5:26. The second step is the crushing of the olives into a paste to tear the flesh cells to facilitate the release of the oil. God have to often times take us as Believers to a time of crushing and purifying so that He we can deal with those places in us ( flesh) that does not reflect the nature and character of Christ. ( Malachi 3:3). Scriptures says in Proverbs 20:27 that " The Spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord". It is so important that as Believers we allow God to wash us through His Word and crush us through His refiners fires so that clean oil provide light for our Spiritual lamps so that our lives can radiate with the light of Christ.
